In the Fishbowl
Well, after many tests, medications, and changes Andrew is doing incredibly well. The past week or so Andrew has been having extreme difficulties breathing on a consistent basis. The doctors were concerned that he may have had an infection or possibly pneumonia.
Friday night one of the nurses called and let us know that Andrew was going to be undergoing some tests and lab work to try to help determine the problem. They also switched the tubes in his nose to an Oxi-hood (Brian and I voted it looked somewhat like an upsidedown fish bowl with two small holes in the top.
Saturday we came in a bit scared due to all the changes, but our Lord is far bigger than all that. We are so thankful that He is always in control no matter what the struggle is.
Andrew was wide awake for longer than either of us had seen him, and boy was he full of smiles! I think he was very excited to see us and to get out of his "fish bowl!"
Today (Sunday) Andrew is doing very well. They have still not given the heads up on when he will be coming home, but we will continue to be patient. Sometime soon Brian and I are going to have to take CPR. We were waiting for the instructor to come, but she has yet to show up.
Great Grandmother is coming to visit Andrew tomorrow. This is her first great grandbaby, and little Andrew decided he was going to be born on her birthday!
Thank you each for your prayers!
