It's hard to believe that this is what our "little" man looked like almost a year ago. And here he is today. Andrew is definitely keeping us busy. He loves to play out in the leaves with mommy and daddy. Ma and Pa Carpenter gave him a little motorcycle (with four wheels). He absolutely loves it. We push him down the driveway on it, and he giggles the whole way down.
Well, several months ago we saw a specialist in Wisconsin who said that we needed to get Andrew into surgery to remove his scar before he turned two. We drove 2 1/2 hours Tuesday and had 8 different doctors look at it. There were several young guys in training who had never seen this type of scar before. I think Andrew felt like he was the center of

attention.I think mommy and daddy would agree. He sat on each doctors lap and got spun around on the moving chair. He found every interesting thing in the doctors room, but his favorite were the wheels on all the chairs. Daddy blew up a glove and we made a nice face on him. The doctors say that we do not have to have the scar taken off. Praise the Lord! Here we were praying that He would provide the finances to cover it, not to remove the idea completely. They said that we may want to consider it later just as a cosmetic issue. By then he wouldn't have to undergo a huge surgery. Yippee.Drew loves to play with mommy's puppets. We were writing a puppet script
for Bible Clubs and he picked out the five puppets I had to use. He chose the rhino with huge moving eyes and all the ones that made noise. Our "Chunky Monkey" loves to help do whatever anyone is doing. A week ago several teens came over to help paper mache a giant turkey. Andrew had to help. Unfortunately his idea of helping was "cleaning" the floor. Everything goes into his mouth! Til' next time.
